Poor Autobot...
I actually tried anodizing that one several times, and took a few licks off the face to clean it up on the mill again to the point the bolt holes busted through. Thought maybe I could fuse some molten aluminum in there with a MIG but you can see welded aluminum shares a density with cast, and looks crappier than billet. Live and learn... so I made ANOTHER one.
I have the process down a little better now, using a hypodermic needle to get the anodize dye down into the relieved spots before sealing. Still, I don't think I would do it again... little frustrating. I would leave it to the owner to paint the red in the slots I think...
