Not sure if that is a jab meaning I'm not well established but thanks...
This may be a better, cheaper way to go if they are plastic though. So if anyone wants to take CaliChaos' advice I won't be offended. Then they will be "chrome" like the other badges...
Basically we can do this a couple ways for anyone still on board.
1. I can individually machine the letters out, and you can use a ruler to space them as you like and get them square. I have the REAL 3M emblem tape on hand so this is taken care of...
2. I can machine the letters raised from a solid piece, and have them anodized UV resistant black, with a skim cut on the top to expose the bare aluminum for contrast or have them laser etched for a more matte look.
If we go individual letters, like FJ8 has on his rig (another thread in this section), you have the options of:
1. Bare polishable aluminum to keep the OEM look. Some maintenance required (ie polishing from time to time).
2. Brushed look in clear anodize. Clear doesn't fade
3. UV resistant black anodize. Any other colors will fade over the years as exposed to sun. This is actually called Architectual Bronze anodizing but what you want to know is that it is very lightfast for outdoor use.
I'll be using basically the same tools in any case so we can accomodate everyone on an individual basis.

Might as well stay true to the Custom CNC Machining motto.
I'll check back to see what we need and do some renderings this weekend if all goes well. Once the summit badges are off my plate I can squeeze in some cutting time...
