Laid off Cased Hole Engineer looking....

Wanted to take a break from the Patch, and Need to start looking heavily for a job....Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For you who know the Oil Field: I was a Cased Hole Engineer for Halliburton. Was laid off in April. I have plenty of experience in Stage Jobs, RCBL, CBL, CNL, Gamma Perf, Plugs and Packers. I can read the basics of Open Hole logs, Calculate porosity and such. And of course can make sense of a Cased Hole log!

Re: The Vacation is Over.....

Are you willing to relocate? Have you looked into Schlumberger, they just bought a building down the street from me, wish I had some of the qualifications, I heard it's a decent place to work.

Re: The Vacation is Over.....

My bro-in-law is with Haliburton. I'm worried about his job in WY. They are talking like he needs to go to S. Dakota to keep his job (electrical tech/engineer something)

Re: The Vacation is Over.....

His position is called E-Tech.....does he work on the frac/cement side? or wireline? I wouldn't think he would have to worry, from my understandings from talking with a few buddies that are working in the Rockies that they are staying fairly busy up there.

Oh, I was going to suggest ConocoPhillips. They have treated me right, not on the operational side though.

Let me know if you're interested and I can get intouch with a few people and see what channels you need to go through.
