It appears that I'm going to be in Sedona from the 16th through the 21st, over my son's spring break, staying at some EXTREMELY expensive resort that my wife picked out and I'd love to tag along with somebody if they'll let me ride shotgun (since my vehicle will be back here in Dallas); or even in the backseat for that matter. If it works out that I can bum a ride for the day I'll PM whoever the designated driver is my cell # so they can get in touch with me.

You've always got a seat in the Scorpion if you want it.

That would be just dandy. If nothing else it will take my mind off how much this vacation is costing me. As the date approaches and everybody's plans firm up I'll PM you my cell number so you can track me down in Sedona. I'll buy lunch, dinner.....whatever. Thanks!
Maybe Allison's mom can make us all some homemade Vietnamese food when we get to Vegas. Last time I was there, she asked me if I liked crap...WTF?...ooooh crab...yes I like crab.
That's funny, I nearly pissed myself!

Wow, this looks great.
I'll see if I can make it happen.
Fantastic Vince, ....send me a pm if you think it'll work out, we are going to limit this to probably 5 rigs max for this. ....atleast for the majority of the trip.
Hey Croz, as for El Camino you have to get a permit at the BLM office to run it which isn't a big deal, however part of the drive goes through a preserve and it will be closed starting March 15th for a couple of months so the big horn sheep can make babies
Have a great time on the rest of your adventure, wish we could join you but I'll be spending my spring break studying for my mid-term
Be sure to head over to AZFJ › News when you get here and post up, I'm sure there will be some people who can come out and join ya or show you around at least!!
Ok guys, I've been getting some advice that a couple (one or two) of the listed trails may be closed or impassable due to snow/runoff etc at the time we'll be coming through.
I'll be working hard to get a more finalized schedule for the week in Az now that I've finally got some more free time. I'll get the info for trail conditions/forecasts and permit requirements.
Many of the trails that require permits will allow multiple vehicles to be on one permit.
Sounds like a most excellent trip and Uphill being involved is of no surprise. I'd be very tempted but don't get back from my British Columbia ski vacation until the 15th.
A fall expedition would be great though

The last trip to AZ resulted in some trail carnage (r/f uni-bearing and a seal to the e-locker motor) due entirely to rough stuff that was literally beyond my control unless I had stayed home. I'm not counting some tweaking to the BudBuilts. So my experience with Arizona off-road/off-trail driving is that it's FUN-FUN-FUN but it can also be very "wild". I'm looking forward to this one, have cleared the decks and my only concern is that CROZHAWK's wicked 4 Runner will show me up (because it is exceptionally wicked).
