Just curious - who would be interested in a fall run, covering the north west part of DV? No specifics as yet, just trying to gauge the interest. I'll limit the list to 15, then start a backup list.

I will be checking this post once a day and adding to the list below. I'm thinking maybe 12-15 rigs as I think this run would be mostly open road, even though I haven't run any of the roads. Input would help. I will be doing some pre-running this summer to get prepared.

Interested:

1. Nevadaesh
2. Caddo
3. Uphill
4. Kokopeli
5. Pokerdawg
6. Muddygrrl
7. Air2air
8. Mir207
9. Mikecruiser
10. DominicG
11. Jeshua
12. StHarris
13. Fjamming
14. Targa88
15. FJGordy

Alternates:
1. Spertierra

I will be posting a new trail run thread at least a month and a half before this happens.

DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, Calif. - A dig for clandestine graves at Charles Manson's last hideout ended Wednesday, yielding no bodies and leaving scientists puzzled over the clues that enticed them to go this far.
Manson ranch dig called off with no remains found - Yahoo! News

Oh well....

This is from our second expedition to Death Valley last May. This rocky trail is at Chicken Rock in South Park Canyon. When I first saw this obstacle, I was like "oh sh*^" especially since it was a shelf road. It appeared that the road was filled in with a lot of rock from its last repair. I was blown away when Nevadaesh said he did this by himself on the prerun. He has a stock height rig.

Re: Return -- to the Valley of Death!

I miss Death Valley. I never thought I would ever say that. I don't have the guts to camp in 100+ degree weather.

When is fall coming around!?!??!

Re: Return -- to the Valley of Death!

We set up camp on this beautiful hillside and had the pleasure to witness a desert sunset. I brought an old video camera that had time lapse capabilities. It was just an experiment and I didn't get the quality and resolution I wanted. Here's what I captured.

Death Valley 2 Campsite

I just wanted to share this as a reminder of a great weekend.
