Cold air intakes and supercharger

I like many of you are waiting on the TRD supercharger. I have a few questions maybe someone could help me with. First I am interested in the TRD cold air intake but will it be useless when I get the supercharger. Also what upgrades could I make now to prepair for the supercharger.

Thanks
Scott

but will that just be a waist of money, because i know on the URD supercharger the air intake is in a whole new location and the stock or trd will not work. but i dont know if it is the same with the TRD one.

Re: Cold air intakes and supercharger

The TRD intake will work with the TRD supercharger and you can see it on customtacos.com the tacoma forum. The install was done on a FJ.

Re: Cold air intakes and supercharger

good thing about trd supecharger is that you don't have to worry too much about upgrades, since they don't put out enough power, lol. Does the trd come with an intercooler? if not, it'll be suicide without one. You need to address the Air to fuel ratio, but hopefully, the tuner shop will address that for you. You most likely won't have to worry about tranny slippage, cuz the power output will be minimal.
