Option to "silence" the TRD exhaust

Hi all,

i've got the TRD exhaust package on my FJ and lately it's been bothering me at highway speeds. It's the issue of the droning sound inside the cabin while the rpm's are at the 1.5k to 2k levels. I wonder if there are any solutions to the noise. Unfortunately I don't have the OEM exhaust assembly. Would changing the silencer portion help with the exhaust burble?

I blew my TRD tip off with a 12 ga. shotgun. It really felt good. Only a few pellets struck the body. I deem it a major success.

Thank you Tran, very perceptive. My way is much quicker and easier. Actually helps you bond with your rig. Something about the smell of cordite.

I'm surprise there's that much droning with trd. usually a good quality exhausts have minimal droning. Never heard of any cure, though.

Re: Option to "silence" the TRD exhaust

I'm another one wishing the TRD exhaust was quieter... and hoping someone figures out a hack/mod for it. It just doesn't seem usefully loud.
