Super Lubricants

So the threads about Mobil1 got me thinking. What about the super lubs you SEE ON TV from time to time, specifically:

Prolong Super Lubricants, Inc. - The Ultimate In Protection & Performance
Slick 50® | Products
Engine Treatment - Dura Lubeâ„¢ [FREE Shipping Offer]
zMAX micro-lubricant, fuel additive, oil additive and transmission additive

some of the stuff they do on TV is pretty amazing i have to say, but so was David Copperfield's tricks
(i should have had an option for NONE OF THE ABOVE on the poll, maybe we can use 'other' for that)

Re: Super Lubricants

My only expierence with any of this "type" of lubricant has been with Royal Purple.

The last place I worked at we used it in all our oilfield equipment(drilling motors, shocks and jars) it extended the the run time on the motors significantly and internal compents(bearings, races and pistons) showed reduced wear therefore lasting longer. Performance gains on the motors were also noted(hp and tq).

When it comes time to chage over the respective fluids I will be using Royal Purple.

Re: Super Lubricants

Don't put any of that crap in your motor, if you absolutely have to spend money on something buy Redline, Motul, Royal Purple, Amosoil, Mobile 1 and Castrol then any other oil in that order. Anything else is a waste of money and could actually cause damage and/or reduce engine life. Slick 50 just settled a calss action lawsuit because they could not prove any benefit.
