Jack Point

this may sound like a stupid question. But...

I want to change the tire on my right rear tire. I'm taking off the tire/wheel to take out a nail. Put on my spare and what not. Then fix it.

Where would be the correct jack point?

The owner's manual says right behind the rear axle housing . In the beautifully illustrated picture of the owners manual I wasn't to sure where to jack it up.

I mean I could do it safely in the general location it points too but it says make sure that top of the jack ( it has a cross indention with a little hole in the middle.) lines up with a certain point on the Rear Axle housing. I couldnt really see where it's "Supposed to fit ". Just didnt want to screw anything up!

thanks

Re: Jack Point

Only thing I can offer here is that my Sliders (Demello) seem to work just fine to jack under. I use a Hi-Lift this way to rotate tires. Otherwise I defer to the stock folks here.

Re: Jack Point

i jacked it up fine. The owner s manual on page 257. said there was a notch though that aligned with the top of the jack . Never saw that.
