Sensor reset after CAI Install HELP PLEASE!

Not too long after changing out stock CAI with AFE CAI my engine maintenance light decided to come on. Should I be concerned? Is my engine running at peak performance, or do i need to reset a sensor? If so how do I go about doing that?

I searched for the answer to this in various threads, but havent been able to find it. I was never good at research.

Re: Sensor reset after CAI Install HELP PLEASE!

Did you install the CAI yourself. If so, make sure you don't have any air leaks around the hose clamps. If air is coming in after the sensor, then this will cuase your engine light to come on.

Re: Sensor reset after CAI Install HELP PLEASE!

one of those maintenance lights comes on every 5,000 miles to tell you to change your oil ? maybe its that one. You have to play with the key and hold down the odometer a certain way to reset it.

Re: Sensor reset after CAI Install HELP PLEASE!

I only have 3000 miles on it, so I dont think its the 5k light. I will check the hoses. Any other ideas.

Re: Sensor reset after CAI Install HELP PLEASE!

Did you disconnect the neg battery lead when installing? Even if you did, you might try disconnecting it again for 30+ seconds to reset. It also might take 3+ restarts to clear...
