Has anyone used Royal Purple?

Looks like you can pick up some MPG savings and add HP by gong with Royal Purple synthetics.

I have a friend that drag races and they swear by it.

Check out the info complete with vids - go to royal purple . com and check out the independant testing. The system wont allow me to post url's this early.

Welcome. Run a search on "Royal Purple" and you'll get plenty of info from folks here that are using it.

Re: Has anyone used Royal Purple?

Do you notice a difference in performance/MPG?

Re: Has anyone used Royal Purple?

I'm running it also. Despite many people stating that you get no gains in MPG I on the other hand saw about a 1.2 - 1.3 MPG increase. That worked out to 1 extra trip to work and back for me in between fill ups. No BS it is true. What is not true is the hugh gains in MPG stated on their web site. It did smoth out the idle to I noticed. Start up were easier too. I am happy. will I ever try something else? No because Pep Boys is around the corner from my house and they always have tons of it in stock. good luck

Re: Has anyone used Royal Purple?

I'll back Acetecho's MPG estimate. I've been using it for two weeks and have seen the same improvement.

Re: Has anyone used Royal Purple?

I use their power steering fluid. Much better than synth Valvoline steering fluid.

Sorry....not much help.

Re: Has anyone used Royal Purple?

Will be changing the wife's oil in her FJ this week and I plan on buying Royal Purple. I heard that Red Line is also excellent.

After reading some "synthetic oil" threads, I think I will be going with Red Line. I believe that Royal Purple is a good synth, and probably non-synth oils would be fine as long as you are changing it (and the filter) every 2,000-3,000 miles. All depends on what makes you happy and satisfied.
