CatBack- What do you like best and why?

So I've read ALL the posts. Would like to have a definitive thread going though. What aftermarket cat-back did you buy and why? Some bought for sound, other for performance. What's your story?
Right now, I am personally leaning toward JBA. I like the idea of one kit from headers to tailpipe.

I bought the aluminized TRD, and wish I would have got the JBA. I paid too much for the TRD which isn't even stainless, and now I am eventually going to sell my TRD and get the JBA anyways. Stainless is the way to go.

Cool. Thanks for writing. I've seen deals for 275 shipped for JBA. I think that's a good deal for a whole system

I ended up getting a Borla Cat back Dual system from a fellow member. Some guys don't like it because of clearance issues on the trail....but I think that it will work out fine for me. Gonna install it tomorrow....I'll post pix when it's on.

Re: CatBack- What do you like best and why?

Installed my Borla Cat BAck over the weekend....still some minor tweaking but otherwise, it's in and works great! I think it looks killer....tone is perfect for my ears. I find that the 4.0L doesn't have that great an engine sound to begin with and that can get exacerbated by some exhaust kits....then you just have an annoying exhaust sound. The Borla takes it and makes it a lower, mellow burble...not too loud, but you can still hear it at idle. And at WOT....it's music to my ears coupled with a CAI. It's perfect IMO!

I know that it does sit a bit lower than most, so clearance on hardcore trails would be an issue, but it will suit the type of light duty wheelin' that I do.

Very pleased...I'll try to get some sound clips up in the next week or two. The wife and I are taking it down to Cape Cod this weekend.

Anyone have pics of JBA or URD installed?

Re: CatBack- What do you like best and why?

My FJC came with the TRD exhaust, but in reading this - and other threads - I would gladly list mine on ebay tomorrow if someone could provide solid info on horsepower/mileage/clearance gains attained with another model...

Re: CatBack- What do you like best and why?

Ramrod- that looks awesome! Can you post a link to the kit. I'm surprised I'm actually a fan of those tips.

Unfortunately, the jury seems to be out on performance gains. I don't know why it is so hard to get a definitive answer. Some say no gains, others say minimal. I think the bottom line is you get max gains when you introduce a supercharger, headers, and aftermarket catback. I posted in another thread asking if the aftermarket y-pipes are legal if you put a cat-back in after it. no response yet.
