Check Oil Level

Hey this sounds strange...but how do you check your oil level?

My engine only have a cap....no dipstick.

Dip stick on left side of motor, (looking at motor) under plastic air intake tube.

Bolted to the engine block right at the front of the passenger-side valve cover is a narrow tube with a 1" (guesstimate) bright yellow plastic ring on the top. The yellow ring is the handle for the dip stick; pull it up and the dip stick out to check your oil. If the yellow ring and hence the dip stick is not there, the last idiot to change your oil must have forgotten to put it back in, and there will probably be oil and dirt all over that side of your engine compartment.

Before you ask the next question, there is no dipstick for the transmission.

Per the owner's manual, unscrew oil cap and insert index finger. Anything under a two-knuckler means you're a quart low...
