Stant Part #10504???

whats the difference? i seen people listing #11504 is the right part for the locking gas cap. I called the local auto parts store and they couldn't get stant locking gas cap #11504 so i said try #10504 and they have that on the shelf, is that the right one?

Don't know if there's a difference, but #11504 is the right one. I found the part number in the following thread and put it in my FJ right away without any problems whatsoever:

The correct number for the Stant is #11504 and I picked mine up at Checker Auto. chris

i called everywhere and nobody can get Stant part #11504 and i asked them whats the difference between those numbers and they looked in to it and they said the difference between part number #11504 and #10504 is the packaging thats all

Caz, the places you called is correct, the difference is in the packaging. The 11504 comes "card packaged". The size of the cap and thread dimensions are exactly the same.

By the way everyone, Caz is from Canada, some things up here are packaged differently than in the States. The autoparts stores up here are far inferior to what is available down there, as most things have to be special ordered or you are limited to one brand availability..
