Re: AFE CAI Help....

I have the same vibration noise on my FJ also. I don't think it is the intake itself. I think it is the intake causing a vibration in the dash, either transmitting it from the airbox through the fender, or maybe sound waves from the intake causing the rattle? It doesn't bother me so I have not really spent much time looking into it.

Re: AFE CAI Help....

RAAK FJ,
PM cruiserlarry with your question. He has installed so many aFe's, including mine yesterday. No vibration when pushed hard.

Re: AFE CAI Help....

Also, be sure to check the hose clamps on the intake tube flange after your first day of rough offroad driving. Mine came loose and caused the check engine light to come on.

Re: AFE CAI Help....

I have had my aFe on for about three months and I have not noticed a vibration. Perhaps I should listen or feel for a vibration the next time I take my FJ out for a spin.

I had the same problem, The new airbox is close to the bottem, I changed the rubbers under the airbox for bigger ones. Now I have more space under the airbox.

Problem is gone and I am Happy !!
