JGRNAUT,

I would love to get some headers. I have not for the FJ though.

My experience with manifold and header gaskets is that they are one time use. From a logical standpoint during the initial torque they would be compressed and mushroom slightly to create the seal. This type of gasket will not return to its original shape when removed.

I say get new.

Any suggestions on gaskets?

Oh, and how many pounds of torque on the headers too?

I ended up re using the factory on. I'm pretty sure there may be a tiny leak on the drivers side even though I can't feel it. Couldn't get the bolts any tighter really. So hard to tighten the lower bolts. Now I'm afraid if I try to put new gaskets on I will break the bolts. Maybe I'll just get a shop to do it so they would have to fix it.

You need new gasket — reuse old is a cheap mistake
