Bill, it looks great.
Glad you got the snorkel on, it adds a very cool look to the rig.
Thanks Corey. It looks better than I thought it would. I think the additional black on my rig helps it blend a bit. At first I thought they were butt ugly, but wanted it for function. It turns out the look is growing on me quite a bit

Sweet, another successful mating of the TRD CAI and Snorkle. I like your solution. Now you just need to add a supercharger, Dragon!
Thanks TGREGG I've thought about the SC. I think the FJ has enough power for what I use it for. I really want it to be an off road vehicle first and it seems to do that very well. It also is my daily driver so a bit of speed is good. I just don't have the $$$$ to put towards a supercharger, so I guess I'm just attempting to tell myself I don't need it

I can certainly relate! Don't forget to run that baby hard and WOT a few times starting from various speeds so your ECU learns how to breathe with the new intake and exhaust. Besides helping the ECU learn, it's a blast with a new CAI!

Looks sweet Bill! Can't wait to see some pics in the water.
In an effort to avoid searching your 5000+ posts...what paint did you use to black out your silver pieces?
I was going to use a satin black rattlecan, but afraid it might chip and/or peel since I do a lot of highway driving. Figured I would ask the closest thing to an expert...the Dragon.
Don't know if you recall the pic you took of my crushed rear passenger wing at CCC, but I was able to fix it to like new. Removed it, poured hot water (just short of boiling) onto the back side and rubbed it out.
Thanx in advance for the paint info.
Steve

I do remember. I'm glad you got it all fixed.

I used an adhesion promoter (aerosol found in any auto parts store) and then I used Rustoleum flat black.

I drve an hour to work and an hour home every day (about half is expressway) and do not have any issues. I think once you do it you'll be very pleased with the way it looks.
