Here a therory... you said after a "swerve" the lights came on. If you had the VSC cancelled with the switch, the computer received a failure from the VSC system because of the disconnect and it lit up all of the lights. Has anyone else with the VSC cancel mod had this problem?
You misread the post. The actual "swerve" light came on...I did not make the light come on by "swerving" or losing traction. The last time I used the switch was about 2 weeks ago.

Re: Help! Swerve, ABS, VSC Off Lights came on!

Generally speaking Autozone and PepBoys cant read ABS codes because those are manufacturer specific codes. Check engine lights (powertrain related) are standardized OBD II codes (with some exceptions) because of federal mandates. The feds dont mandate that the ABS and traction control be standardized, they may mandate that it have ABS, but not the troubleshooting portion.

Re: Help! Swerve, ABS, VSC Off Lights came on!

I started up the car again, the 3 lights came back on. My OBD-II scanner still won't link up. What should I do?

EDIT: Got an appointment with the Mission Hills HAMER Toyota today at 1245. Hopefully they can help me out.

Which wire did you tap into for the VSC disconnect switch? Just curious...

Re: Help! Swerve, ABS, VSC Off Lights came on!

The purple one coming from the brake master cylinder. The connector has 2 wires...I think the other one is white?? This is off the top of my head.

The connecter is on the frontside if you are looking into the hood of the car from the headlighs. You have to pull the connector towards you to release it. I interrupted that wire with a switch previously.

Now it is soldered back and normal.

Re: Help! Swerve, ABS, VSC Off Lights came on!

I have an update!!!!!!
--------------------------------------------
Service advisor called me back. Said it was a "Pressure Sending Unit". Said that "it sends oil to the brakes". I guess it went out on my FJ. They are getting the replacement part on Friday. My FJ will be ready by Friday night!!!

I am excited...everything will be good after this! Plus it's covered under warranty!!!!

Thanks zigg!! I appreciate any concern and help I got for getting this figured out! I took it to another dealer and everything is going to work out!

As for the switch...no. I never really used it. 4wd doesn't seem to have any traction control (VSC OFF) so if I want to get squirly on dirt, I will just be in 4wd. I need to fiberglass the holes in my lower dash plate now... That won't be bad though.

Re: Help! Swerve, ABS, VSC Off Lights came on!

Have you add an aftermarket intake or a setup of your own. I'm asking cause I was the ginny pig for Downey Offroad, on their Air Intake, and the lights also came on with mine. After reinstalling OEM air intake, lights turned off.
