Re: Throttle Body Spacer

I have a TBS, CAI and exhaust. I haven't really noticed an increase in MPG or power. I do notice the whistle though. At first I thought the whistle was rather annoying but I have since gotten used to it and hardly notice it any more.

I did not know that the make a turbo for the FJ
TRD and URD make Superchargers for the FJ. Haven't seen a turbo.

Re: Throttle Body Spacer

Turbos are basically universal. I've seen a thread somewhere where someone turbocharged the FJ. The problem with the TC is that the power will be pretty steady and then it will get a massive, abrupt boost. With the SC, it is much more steady and immediate power. How often have you seen a turbocharged gasoline engine on a trail rig?

And no, don't take it to the dealer for the unichip. Find a unichip dealer or do the install yourself. If you want a custom tune, you have to find a unichip tuner. They have a locator on their website.

Does it feel like it picked up a little torque? It will probably keep the air/fuel charge a little cooler too> Thus maybe picking up a little better .

Can you explain how a TBS would keep the airflow cooler? Thanks.
