Bent tailpipe, any affect on performance?

While on the trail a couple days ago I bent my tailpipe and was wondering if it will affect performance and if so how much? Any thoughts?

Mine has been bent and dangling for many months. I haven't noticed any difference.

Should be fine. If it was worse (creating more back pressure due to bends) then I'd say get it replaced, but yours isn't that bad.

That shouldn't be too hard to bend right back. Might even throw some high temp duct tape on there for that custom look

I guess I'll just break out the channel locks and apply some persuasion. thx, It didn't seem like it made a difference, but sometimes my mind plays tricks on me.

Re: Bent tailpipe, any affect on performance?

If you bent it to the point that you have back pressure issues, Then yes, you can have problems! Restrict the flow in any application and It will cause major problems!!! Why do you think Headers and such were invented? Less restriction E- Better Performance!!

Re: Bent tailpipe, any affect on performance?

Grab a wrench and try and bend it back out, if not grab a pipe cutter and cut it further back so it doesnt hit next time
