Re: TRD Cold Air Intake

Has anyone purchased a K&N Cold Air Intake? If so what results have you had? I just bought my FJ and love it! Any input would be appreciated.

Re: TRD Cold Air Intake

i just yanked my k&n OFF......and swapped for the trd..what a diff...i believe that b/c the k&n had the "U" bend in it, it did not have the same effect as the trd..the trd comes straight across...could not tell a diff with the first, but the trd, was noticable

Re: TRD Cold Air Intake

I also have the TRD CAI but I switched/used the AFE PRODY S (oil-free) P/N 21-90044 for off-roading specially when the trails are dusty in the summer time.

AFE Pro Dry S media filter:

This is how a new TRD CA filter (P/N PTR05-35066) looks like:

The same TRD CAI filter after a (dusty) trail run:

Re: TRD Cold Air Intake

Thanks for all the responses. It looks like everyone that has the TRD really likes it and some of you have switched to TRD that didn't have it. I think I will go with TRD. Where should I order it from? Any install problems or helpful hints that I should know about would be appreciated!

Re: TRD Cold Air Intake

Go for it man. TRD and K&N sound loud, but TRD it´s better for going fast in water.
