does anyone recommend replacing stock headers with JBA headers or any other brand? did anyone change his/her car's headers with new ones? if positive, please post your story/recommendation/opinion.

Thank you
Yes, I'm runing the Snorkel, TRD CAI, JBA shorty headers, and JBA exhaust. Also had a custom tune on my UNICHIP to make it all work to its fullest potential. I'm very, very happy with this setup. Only thing left is a supercharger.... but that will have to wiat a little bit.

I say go with the JBA exhaust and either JBA headers (with ceramic coating) or if you want a lot of noise, the Doug Thorley long tube headers.

My aFe CAI and aFe catback make a nice combo! Good sound and more power!

How much more power do you figure you gained? I had the Downey Offroad conical filter with a Gibson cat back exhaust on my 4.0 Tacoma. It felt like I lost some low end torque but it opened up in the top end. The throttle response felt much better too... For my FJ, if I do anything at all, I will get the Volant with the powercore filter and the Afe exhaust. I am just concerned about losing my low end torque, afterall the FJ is somewhat built on its low end capabilities..... any thoughts?

Re: What's the most desired exhaust?

The aFe is 3" but what about everything before it? I'll admit I don't know much of anything in the exhaust deparment, but wouldn't the benefit of a 3" system be unseen if there is any part of the system prior to it that is smaller in diameter?

Re: What's the most desired exhaust?

1) did anyone try Resonated Car and Truck Muffler, 2525XL, Exhaust Systems muffler?
2) do your recommend installing a complete cat-back or a muffler (i'm thinking of MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust) would be enough?
