New Volant CAI

I just bought a Volant CAI today for my FJ. The sales rep advised me that this was a good one to go with. Given the fact that there are so many out there and I have been between the aFe, TRD and the Volant, his advise swayed me to go with it. I also went with a dry air filter which seems like the way to go. Is anyone using this on their FJ? If so how do you like it? Thanks

Re: New Volant CAI

Rule #1, never go with a salesperson's first recommended product.

Re: New Volant CAI

i like Volant stuff....contacted them last month and they told me it was being completely redesigned....so hopefully you got the new one and not the old one.

I would love to see it and hear how you like it as I had great experience with them and my Dodge Cummins.

Re: New Volant CAI

Volant seemed like a good choice. I have been doing research and reading the forum for over a week and it was a tough choice with so many great options. Plus reading the feedback on the Volant from the site I purchased it at, Truck Accessories, Auto Accessories, Auto Parts, Car Covers, Tonneau Cover and Seat Covers made me more convinced it was a good choice. I have read mixed reviews on air filters that you have to oil because of over or under spraying them and Volant offered the dry filter that you supposedly don't have to do maintenance on for 100,000 miles but I am sure that will not happen nor will I let it. I will let you all know how the install works and the performance of it next later this week or early next week when I get it. If anyone else has feedback on the Volant I would like to hear it, good or bad. Thanks
