Safari Snorkel

I want to put a Safari Snorkel on my FJ! Let me apologize 1st for the stupid questions, or if this has already been discussed elsewhere.

Where do I buy a Safari Snorkel?
Approximately how much does one cost?
Is there a group buy for these or can one be started?

Thank in advance!

Re: Safari Snorkel

They cost in the range on 350ish depending on where you get it.. 4 Wheel parts can get it for you along with almost any of the fourm vendors, just watch how much they charge you to ship it.. It is a large box but skinny not square.

I would look around to find the best shipping price. Jobber is all the same from ARB. Don't know about a group buy..

One bit of advice, when you align the template up make sure you do so real carfully as just a 1/16th off from perferct left me with about a 1/4 off on the bolt holes. not a biggie just I had to strech the holes a little to get the bolts through with out rubbing.. You'll love it though...

Re: Safari Snorkel

Lotta places to buy one.
For starters, Genuine Toyota Parts and Accessories wholesale to the public. which is also the same place as FJ CRUISER OFFROAD

Costs vary from dealer to dealer.

Re: Safari Snorkel

Thanks!

There are 3 or 4 of us in our local Las Vegas FJ club that are looking to get snokels. I will post it up on our local Forum and how much interest I get. Then I will contact some of the vendors and see if we can get a group buy to save on shipping or something!

Thanks again!

kind of.

It is designed to mate up with the stock intake. In order to hook it up with the CAI, you either have make your connection or, use lots of caulking. Search and you'll find a thread for both ways.

Re: Safari Snorkel

yeah, it is easy to hook it up to the TRD box. I read somewhere that they may have come out with a fit kit for it now, but not sure about that.

Re: Safari Snorkel

4 people interested in our local Vegas FJ Club. I am cuurently running an aFe CAI and I think the rest are all still running stock!

I am going to sell my aFe (that is less than a year old) and put my stock intake back on and see about adding one of those JET High Performance MAF sensors (?)

Is it wrong that I am slightly giddy about make a large hole in the side of my FJ?
