These Chuck boxes and Worktop storage boxes are pretty cool.
Check
their video's to get a real feel for what these things are, and how compact they are.
They are made by

Chuck Boxes
Grubby One
It takes less than a minute (
see set up demonstration video) for this chuck box to go from the stored state (26x16x17) to a set up camp kitchen. There is no hardware used in the setup of this unique design that just 'fits together' to form a sturdy work station. Your camp kitchen and personal effects store inside the box. In this example, everything pictured like cups, plates bowls, coffee pot, pans and much more, fit inside the box in its' stored state (excluding the stove)! So you see, you are ready to go camping on a moments notice without the fear of forgetting key items.
The Grubby One was born in 1988 and although it has changed several times since then, the basic design parameters have remained the same:
* store your camp kitchen
* setup quickly to provide work surfaces
* provide utility features
Grubby Two
These chuck boxes have doors (sides) that slide out and set up to form stands for each box to sit atop. An adjoining connecting leaf provides additional counter space at the same height ( approximately 36"). The tub half box is designed around readily available wash tubs and drainer that also double as drawers in the stored state. Setup (see video demonstration) requires only a couple minutes and spice racks, utility hooks, drawers and storages compartments provide convenience matched only by a kitchen.
The Grubby Two came about later and fulfills the same requirements but gives you more of everything and splits the camp kitchen weight between two boxes which, of course makes things easier to carry.
Everything shown with the boxes, with the exception of the ice chest and stove, will store smartly inside the boxes.
The Work-Top Box
Basic Work-Top box!
The Basic Work-Top Box came about from the need for more generic storage. The large compartment lends itself to storing those big bulky items that take a lot of room like dutch ovens, pans, coffee pot, cooking kits, paper towels and many other items can easily fit in this space.
The storage compartment is 22x14x15. This allows for big bulky and odd sized item storage.

Extended Work-Top box!
The Extended Work-Top Box provides the same 'bulk type storage' but also has a special compartment for storing a camp stove underneath and has two cleverly designed shelves that extend those all important work surfaces.
The storage compartment is 22x14x10. This allows for big bulky and odd sized item storage. Dutch oven, cast iron fry pans, can goods, cook kits, paper towels and many other items can easily fit in this space.
There is a storage compartment under the box where shelves and legs store. However the compartment also allows for an additional 4.5x13x22 storage which is big enough to accommodate most two burner stoves.
The Work-Top Box provides general work storage. The Work-Top box is shown here as a chuck box, but it is also well suited for many other types of work storage since it is not designed around wash tubs as with the Grubby One and Grubby Two. It is well configured to be a hunt box, flight box (for remote control enthusiasts), sewing center, or just a general hobby box.
Effective September 2007, all Blue Sky Kitchen unfinished an finished products are made with redwood instead of MDF. The ply material is still lauan for the standard version and oak vernier for designer versions. The Grubby One website pictures have been updated but the Grubby Two and these Work Top box pictures do not currently relect this change. Also you can now choose between redwood, walnut and golden oak stains on finished versions.
