I like that Solaris 26.
I have dual batteries installed for the ARB fridge, but this would be a good backup to run during the day time too for the fridge or to charge digital camera batteries and more while out camping.

Make sure you calculate how long it will take to charge a device before you buy. I have a very large digital SLR battery and looked at these panels until I calculated it would take 7 hours to recharge my battery. If you have a point and shoot digital, it will be more reasonable recharge times.
It has a 25w output, preety high for a solar panel (highest of any of the portable panels I've seen) and will run the ARB by itself in good sunlight. I have the circuit run to go back to my aux batt as well, so it can help maintain batt charge while the ARB runs off the battery...The panel is flexible, and folds up to an 8.5"X11" size when not in use...
Can you charge the ARB fridge directly from the solar panel (without a battery in-between) ?

Yes...please! Think you will still need a battery of some sort, but not sure. Northern tools has a solar unit with the cigarette lighter plug-in for the ARB, but looks under powered.
I've had the mid sized ARB for years and have been toying with this idea for about as long. However, after a recent experience with one of my "other" 4x4s (a diesel powered rover) I think I am going to go with a jumper pack because it will serve to keep the ARB going in camp and it can also serve to jump a vehicle. Most of my trips are less than a week, and the jump pack will run the ARB for that long, easily. The only issue is I can not recharge the jump pack from a 12 volt source. I guess that's what the inverter on the FJ is for! And I already own the jumper pack.
On the other hand, my mom has a solar panel on her Eurovan and loves it.
