hey i came upon this X-JACK Exhaust System made by ARB. If what it can do realy is true... its amazing. I dunno how it can lift 5,000 lbs off of just ur exhaust. I mean thats not alot of presure, its hot air but still i dont see it having enough to lift 5, 000 lbs. I would like to see this in action. Videos? or Testimonials?

Thanks Mike
There's another thread on here someplace about the X-jack. I have one and had difficulty lifting my truck because I have a weird, angled, custom cut exhaust tip. But several people who have stock or not so weird custom exhausts report excellent results. No problem lifting at all. Mine even started to lift the truck, just couldn't quite make it. And mine is way more than 5000lbs

My FJ isn't anywhere close to being as heavy as mir's, but it has its share of goodies. The X-Jack worked fine for me in the "front yard" test.
The exhaust was plenty to completely expand the X-Jack. I used the portable air compressor 1) for practice, 2) to see if it was able to increase the PSI. It did a bit, but didn't raise the vehicle any higher.
In my opinion, it's a must-have. If you are off-camber or in mud, your Hi-Lift jack will either tip over or jack itself into the mud. The only safe option becomes the X-Jack, which you can use in addition to a Hi-Lift as a saftey measure in case the hi-lift slips (as they are prone to do - even with a WabFab).

And yes, stock exhaust.
Even if I never get my exhaust fill issue sorted, this is totally the way I'm going to do it next time - compressor or tank fill all the way.
I have the x jack an love it way safer than a hi-lift used it twice in trails inflates within 1 minute when used with exhaust & compressor. Once installed its stable. I dont like hi-lift I know they are great but I dont like how they are unstable when used in trail hard to find a good base for them the x-jack molds to the terrain. Sorry no pictures
good idea. i know taht Fire Rescue uses similar devices, they are pads taht hook up to high pressure air lines and and even lift a fire engine! my only consideration for this particular one would be its puncture resistance. i can imagine several sceanrios where i'd be uncomfortable using the x jack for fear of tearing the side of it. i assume the sides are pretty thick?
I have one too and they work. A potential problem could be punctures from rocks or a hot exhause pipe or under carrage brackets/bolts, etc. They come with rubber pads to protect against this, but.............once they are punctured, you're SOL. Get a Hi-lift too.
