Re: REI Equipment

I love REI. High quality stuff at competitive prices. If you buy something and it doesn't suit you, take it back. They have a very friendly return policy.

Got an REI outdoor equipment catalog today in the mail. Several really nice tents in there. They have both backpack gear and full camp equipment.

Question is, has anyone tried REI stuff? It looks like really good quality but I wanted to see if any of you folks have actually purchased anything from these people.

Kim
I love REI!! I have tents, backpak, cloths, etc... Very good products. I am in the wholesales business and have access to some of the categories. But the qualities are way better in REI. Looks like their purchaser buys it as if they use it themselves. I go to REI and pay retails for my own gear

Re: REI Equipment

We use REI when we purchase gear to be used as military field equipment. Those guys don't sell junk thats for sure. Its very hard to go wrong with REI, also the sales people are fairly knowledgable about the products and will give you the straight scoop on whats good and whats not.

Re: REI Equipment

We have the REI Hobitat6 tent and love it. They just came out with a vestibule(s) option, that completes the package. Can't beat the price either.

That is EXACTLY the tent I ended up picking last night. I want at least one of the vestibules. Thanks for all your info!

Re: REI Equipment

Another card carrying REI member here. Never had a problem with any of their products.

You can also rent gear such as tents, packs, etc. if you are an REI member.
