Re: Expedition One rear bumper: Integrated lights, or No Integrated lights

James & Sarah you did as I expected.....fantastic. I really like how the stuff you design is classy looking and functional and your rear bumper looks just that. Good to hear the frills such as fuel can carrier and high lift will be bolt on items. A couple quick questions, any chance of purchasing a rear bumper with a winch mount built in? How will your additions of Fuel can holder etc affect the view of the license plate? Thanks in advance for replying

Awesome looking rear bumper/tire carrier. Looks very stout. Could you show some pics of how you mounted it so it opens with the rear door??? Thanks. Now to go park in a mall until someone backs into me!!!LOL

Yep.....I do agree... that pic is nasty. I'm hoping I'll have your bumper ready to put on by then. We had a death in the extended family that is going to put us back a bit. I do have those brackets in though so we're good to go on that one.. Call this week when you have a chance and we'll see where everything is at....

Its interesting that you would ask. We've been looking at that option quite a bit. The only issue so far is the hitch though we think we can still make it work with some drilling.

Fuel cans and all that stuff will not affect stock licanse plate mounting ,or view there of at all...

Re: Expedition One rear bumper: Integrated lights, or No Integrated lights

here are a few more pics, one showing the attachment. It's a revert to something we tested on the Jeep TJ's back when when we first designed our swingout system. we tested it out with this set up but found that urathane bushings were more Ideal. On this set up urathane just doesn't really work. It could be done but was more headack than we were wanting to go through so we're going to the heim joint for the FJ's. Back when we did our inital testing on the TJ's decent Heim joints were hard to come by, and expensive. Rattling tended to occure quite rapidly in the joints we first tested, and the price for quality ones made rubber bushing the ideal so we went with that set up instead. We think we've got a good source for joints now, and we may even bump it up to a rebuildable flex joint. For now the one we have to display is pretty ugly as far as looks go but all-in-all it works. Sofar the moab test have been going great I hear...

Re: Expedition One rear bumper: Integrated lights, or No Integrated lights

So the heim joint bolts to the old mounts for the spare tire? Looks like a great design, and you do not have to open latches for the tire carrier then the rear door. Coooool.... Sara maybe I should come and weld for you folks, "will weld for bumpers". Realy looks good, this is what I'm looking for ..... production date???? And the gas cans......???
Thanks,
Curt

Will this work with a Gobi Rear door ladder?
