Re: Expedition One rear bumper: Integrated lights, or No Integrated lights

I'm chomping at the bit like everyone else is. But, I would rather wait for a quality product that is going to last as long as the FJ. I know James wants to get it perfect before he releases it. I know it will be well worth the wait. I just have to keep telling myself that........

Re: Expedition One rear bumper: Integrated lights, or No Integrated lights

I think if I was in the market for say.... sliders right now and I saw a prototype set that was better than the rest I'd seen, but the company that made them was working out some remaining kinks before release I could wait for it. I hate modding the FJ with what fits my needs the best at the time, only to have another "better" product be released shortly there after and have buyers remorse. If I could re-do my rear end right now and chose something else, when the X-1 does come out, I'd secretly hate myself every time I saw it. I'm lucky enough to be too poor right now to be able to afford it. (is that luck, or suck?)

Its really close. In a week or 2 I'll probably do a big recap of the development of this bumper and all the issues we ran into just so everyone can get an idea of what it took for us to get this thing made.

I believe now that we are in the clear and my hope is that we'll be underway for shipping of both the tire carriers and non-tire carrier versions by the end of July...

Its going to have an intro price, rather than doing a group by. So it will be @ 20% off right from the get go...

I'll post pricing as soon as I've got it...
I am very interested in a rear bumper and swing out GB/20% off intro pricing.
Where do I sign up?

Re: Expedition One rear bumper: Integrated lights, or No Integrated lights

Lights of course, I love the bumper, Priced competitively is kind of scary, dropping a grand for a bumper still doesn't make sense to me.

Here is a thought, offer a 1 time 1 day only Kick off price for the forum guys here, clip 20% or more off for 1 day. they don't cost but a few hundred to make so the profit will still be there and "IF" priced like that I am sure you will make up in volume, what you will lose in in bottom line net.

Plus have a bunch of your new products out there at events, and that is the best way for you to promote these, is seeing them on Rigs not online. Overtime we kick off a new deal we always hack the price for a 1 day only thing and tend to get a real solid reaction out of the gate.

Just a thought to consider, in these economic times, hell you can look at what folks here are selling besides their rigs because of the economy, it will shock you. anything to get some extra cash. Not lumping everyone together but times are tough, and big ticket toy items are last on Santa's List.

Looks good and good luck.

Kindest Regards,

Tim

I waited for over 18 months trying to buy. Good luck those that are still waiting. The dates just keep getting pushed back. Check the beginning of this thread.

Re: Expedition One rear bumper: Integrated lights, or No Integrated lights

Just curious if you're planning to do anything different with the finish of the rear bumper. My front Expedition One bumper is less than two years old and already the finish is peeling off and rusting underneath.

Re: Expedition One rear bumper: Integrated lights, or No Integrated lights

I really want to be negative here.....but I will not as I just looked at my front bumper. EX1 makes nice stuff worth the wait and we all know it.
