Re: Expedition One new product: Geri

Any update on the mounting system yet for the spare tire?
I found the fuel/water can on your site
Expedition One Off-Road Equipment

Ready to buy a water one now for the spare.
One can never have enough water when camping.
Fuel, I think I will be OK on.

For water though, I would be packing a 5 gallon water cooler type jug with battery pump, a 5 gallon geri can in the rig, and with this an extra 4 gallons on the tire.

Although for fuel, if a setup like this could be made to work with the stock bumper, that would be very cool.

The water ones are clear.
As soon as they have the mounting system down for the spare tire, I will order.

Re: Expedition One new product: Geri

Oh wow - perfect for what I'm looking for.

If it can mount a shovel AND the hi-lift jack with a stock bumper (my TT has the back-up sensors which I'm still partial to and not quite willing to give up yet) I'll pre-pay now and happily wait until Nov '08 when the gas GERI is CARB approved for sale in CA.

The Adventures of The Stormtrooper Penguin continue...[heh heh]. Cheers!

Re: Expedition One new product: Geri

Any updates yet?
I have tried PM'ing the vendor here with zero luck.

All I want is the water one with the spare tire mount.

Re: Expedition One new product: Geri

I sent an email about a month ago. Never got a response. All I wanted at the time was the water also. I will want the gas when it's CARB ready.
EDIT: Talked to Sara at Expedition (801-726-3530). She sent water right away. Then gas. She's very helpful.

Just like every other innovative product ... solar cells, gps, kick-arse gas containers ... they've probably gotten some HUGE govt contract and it may be years before we can buy a cheap knock-off made in China.

Re: Expedition One new product: Geri

I toted like 12 of these to Ouray for James. Everyone was impressed, but I think everyone was spending their $ on raffle tickets. I ended up selling one water and one gas and James donated one of each to the raffle. The set up is excellent. Low profile, strong. Give them a break on responding to emails and such. I know that they are concentrating hard on their rear bumper which will be out SOON. (I talked to Sarah on Mon). I know as a company Expedition One can't sell them to CARB states without getting fined or something, and I also heard that they are passing laws to make every state a CARB state, so James is probably scrambling to get the threads fixed on the cans so they will all be CARB compliant. If someone really wants these send me a PM and I will buy them for you.
