ARB Fridge

Prolly a silly question... Can those 50qt ARB fridges that go for $700+ actually make ice cubes in 90deg ambient heat? Or, do they just keep stuff 'cool'? Would really like to be able to think that if I bought one, I can still enjoy a cold tasty 'ahem' beverage while out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks.

Re: ARB Fridge

Not silly at all... You can have ice cream out in the middle of the Arizona desert in July... When you travel with friends who have one you can split up the fridge and freezer duties. I have also known people who use the freezer to freeze jugs of water to keep a larger cooler cold. One of the single best investments if you camp a lot.

Re: ARB Fridge

I have one and can say that I learned a valuable lesson with it at Jambo. Now it wasnt 90 degrees but It froze and exploded all of my Dr Peppers that night....

Definitely a real freezer

It will freeze everything just set it to freeze a day before heading out for it to get that way

Re: ARB Fridge

I love mine! I have the 35L. It fits pretty well behind the drivers seat on top of the foldeded down seat.
