First of all, I am really envious - what a great looking trailer.
I know the FJ back door has to open, but isn't the tongue longer than it has to be. I'm no trailer guy but I would think you'd like the trailer as close to the rig as possible. There's probably trailer dynamics that I don't know about.

The tongue is about 4" longer than it NEEDS to be. I want to test it out and see how it tows before we make a final decision as to exactly how long I want it.
