Re: New Expedition Style, Offroad Trailer!!! WARNING: Picture overload!

Same here. I am going between an AT Chaser or Horizon but Bob's trailer has peaked my interest. Some questions:

Who is Bob?
Is this his full time business?
Does he have a website with more details?
Or is this just a hobby that he spends his weekends on?
Does he sell these?
Or does he just make them and give them away to friends as Christmas gifts because he is just a very nice guy?
How much for this same build?
Is he taking orders?
Or does he only take commissions from rap artists to make them with diamond encrusted shells?
What is the lead time?
Warranty?
Does Bob really exist?

Have you sent him a PM yet? If so and there is no response let me know and I can get you in touch with him or have him contact you.

No this is a side business for him, but there was talk about some type of expansion.
Not sure on a web site, maybe. I will look for you.
Yes he does sell these, it was going to be a limited run though since it is done on the side.
He is a very nice guy but he doesn't give them away there is a lot of cost involved in these.
Talk to Bob or PM Matt and ask him what he paid.
He takes orders, or did but like I mentioned above it was a limited build because this is a side business and built by just one man, Bob.
Bob doesn't believe in rappers.
Warranty, I don't know maybe. How much you got?
Bob exist in my mind... I've even seen him but that might of just been a dream its hard to tell.

Re: New Expedition Style, Offroad Trailer!!! WARNING: Picture overload!

Hi guys,

Jeshua, thank you.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I am not building them currently. I am just too busy with my regular job.

I will let you guys know when I am going to start building them again.

It does have a warranty for those that asked. I was approached about building them for a major recreation chain. I declined their offer. I build them for friends or future friends. I am not in the jeep market, I build for FJ people.

I would assume that I will start taking orders again towards the end of April, but I do have a prototype for sale. I will need to figure a price for it if anyone is interested.

This is a very expensive trailer, I will not lie to you. But you will be hard pressed to find one built better for any where near what I charge. It is more of a hobby than a business. I know some of you wanted them built over the winter months, but I just could not do it. If for some reason I failed to respond to someone, I am very sorry. I just have not had time to even look at the forum nor even take out my FJ for over 5 months..

Again thanks for all the very kind comments. Hopefully I will be able to build something for you guys in the future.

Bob

Finally picked up our new off road/expedition style trailer, built by forum member skersfan (Bob). He has done an INCREDIBLE job building it BY HIMSELF just in time for Ouray

It's incredibly strong, well built, and ready for anything that it comes upon.
Enough bragging...here are some pictures:

The trailer will carry 25 gallons of gas, and 24 gallons of water. The water tank has a heavy duty pump, and will be hooked up to an on-demand, hot water system (which also has a shower hookup). There is also a faucet at the rear of the trailer.

Also, the 5, five gallon gas cans are all locked in place.

What is the size of the trailer and of the box? I looked it out, but couldn't find it...

Re: New Expedition Style, Offroad Trailer!!! WARNING: Picture overload!

The box is 40 inches wide, 32 inches tall and 48 inches long.

Side Boxes are 15x15x48

The front is a regular jet ski box.

I am building a new one that is quite a bit larger but on the same length frame. I should be selling them after the first of September it appears.
