My trailer idea...

My wife and I have thought about building a trailer for a while now. So, I decided to see what I could design using Google Sketchup. This is based on the Weekender from the Teardrops & Tiny Travel Trailer forums here:

Teardrops & TTT Forum (http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/)

The design is not finalized (need to make the Cruiser Army Green for one ), but I wanted to get an idea of the size compared to my rig. I'm not sold on the paint scheme either. I'll finish up the interior this week. The trailer is approx 12'x6'x6'...dimensions in the picture are approximate, as is the shape. I need to do some work on the wheel arches too. The trailer is sitting on 33's, and has a springover. There's a kitchen galley under a hatch at the top left corner of the trailer. Inside, there should be room for either a queen sized mattress (or close to it), a table/benches, and a small room for a toilet. There will be storage cabinets at the rear of the trailer, above the mattress.

I'm not sure if I'll actually build it or not, but it's been fun designing it! Thoughts/comments are appreciated...

I was at Lowes in Avondale yesterday and saw the very cool Jumping Jack pop trailer. looks very capable for offroading and camping.
The rep John said they will be at 75th ave and 1-10 Lowes and I-17 and Thunderbird Lowes. If you have never seen one, you need to check this out.

Was alerted by daPitbull on the NorCal site (thanks Dude!) about this trailer on CraigsList and pulled the trigger for $600 with the generator included. Like a blank slate, my plan is to transform this 4'x6' into a camp ready rig with a RTT thats TBD. And because I am in California it will also double as my emergency earthquake ready trailer kit too. The lists are identical: water, gas, propane, cooking stove, fridge, food and a little spare cash stashed onboard. Hopefully skersfans will help me upgrade the axel set-up and produce a couple of those fine onboard metal cabinets. What do ya say Bob?

Anyone Have Kenetrek Boots/Socks/Products?

I've been searching for a set of new boots. I've asked a few hard core hunters, loggers, firefighters what they think, and I've been told Kenetrek is one of the best out there. They will custom make your boot if you don't want to buy one in a standard size. Since I live close to Bozeman, I'm thinking I may go that route.

I'm interested in the 10" or 13" rancher Pac boot, and the Hardscrabble Hiker. I definitely want the Gaiters, and I may try the socks too.

Anyone have these boots? Any one familiar with them? They look like some really nice pac boots.

Hi there I bought an arb tent, and I installed over my OEM roof rack, The thing is that I have seen that the roof of my Toyota, is getting damaged, it looks like bombed for coconuts!!!
I'm thinking that is because the oem roof rack is not designed to support this weights limits!!

Some body has more info about this??

What the hell is up with these crappy socks? When they originally came out, they had a lifetime warranty. I still have some of those original socks, and they are great. Now if I buy some, they charge up the ass for them and then in two weeks they have huge holes in them! I HATE YOU SMART WOOL!!! :flame::rawr::fu::soapbox::domotwak::fight:

1st off I love my ARB rooftop tent ( I am in it now lol) but I would like to put down a fitted sheet so I went to amazon to buy one..on my hunt I found a 2 inch thick memory foam mattress

Amazon.com: Sleep Better 2-Inch Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Topper, Queen: Kitchen & Dining
and it made me think... the ARB mattress is 53inch wide by 91inch tall so if you got the ca king memory foam pad and cut it to 53 wide and use the extra left to add to the end and make it 91 long would that work?

can it fold ext ext? any comments....
