Glare from molding reflected in windshield

Most of the dashboard is black, however, there are two semi-circular strips of silver-gray plastic molding about a half-inch wide that curve around from the top of the dashboard to the front and reflect, on sunny days, onto the top of the windshield's interior surface--driving me crazy by distracting my eyes! This is particularly so for the left strip. I think I will put black electrician's tape on these strips to cut the glare.

Message to all car designers: Ensure that anything on the dash that could reflect sunlight back onto the interior of the windshield is BLACK!

Pleased over the sinking seat issue...

Hello,
Thank's Layton for the suggestion below. I agree some dealerships are not so easy to deal with.
For what this is worth I am pleased with Toyota. Toyota Place in Garden Grove is where I purchased my FJ and I am happy with the service from the guys there.
I have a 07 FJ with 36900 miles on it.It is over the factory warranty when purchased it but luckily I bought the extended warranty. I have had it 33 days when I made the call.
I called my service manager and left a VM. He actually called me back and I really did not expect him too.
I let him know the issue and told him I had the TSB. He was pleasant and looked up the TSB over the phone.
He said it would be covered thru one of the warranties and he would figure that out.
I brought in the FJ (no waiting) and handed the TSB to a service guy and he was impressed I had the TSB thanks to this forum :) They looked at the seat and are ordering the parts. no issues or setbacks so far..

I am very surprised that Toyota doesn't have a factory Bluetooth option. With how many states have made it illegal to talk on the phone without a hands free devise and the obvious safety issue you would think Toyota would incorporate it into the stereo.

Back up alarm

I have a bit or a lot of high frequency tone deafness. I can barely hear the alarm if my windows are up and the AC is off. An alarm volume equal to the seat belt would be a great improvement for me.

What did you do to the 4Runner?!?!

So the other day I got my latest issue of Toyota Trails and was saddened by what I saw. I guess the way the layout worked out might have been purely coincidental but I thought it was funny that if you open the mag and look at the cover and back-cover next to each other, the front shows a modded red 4Runner from back in the day, showing what those rigs could do and right next to it (on the back of the magazine) is ... a red 4Runner ... but what I assume is a 2010, and it looks like it has the ground clearance of a civic and lost all its bite:(

I know that demand for cars is changing and they have to produce what will sell and what the public wants and all that ... but seeing the two beside each other made me kinda sad.
