Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route/Random ORV area's (Nov 14-22?))

I'm looking for interest here.

I can't realistically do a 3-4-5 day camping/exploration type trip alone, it wouldn't be a very safe thing to do, so if anyone would be interested in either of these ideas, please post up and we can work something out. It'd be nice to have at least one more vehicle along in the event of breakage/stuckage/etc.

I've already taken the days off, so any of them would be fine. We could start Saturday the 14th or Thursay the 19th or any other day from the 14th-22th just as easy. I have to be back at work on the 23rd, bright and early. I could leave afternoon on the 13th too.

Option 1: Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route. Start in Walla Walla, WA and head south camping along the way for 3-4 days and see how far we get. Here's a little more info about it: link (http://www.cycoactive.com/obdr/default.htm).

Option 2: Random ORV areas. I've never been to Brown's Camp, so start there for a day of weeling, then head over to Mt. Hood forest and play around at Barlow Toll Rd or Lolo pass. Afterwards, head north into Washington and Gifford Pinchot area to explore some more.

I'm not interested in hotel camping either. Cost of gas+food is all I want to really do. Beer around the campfire too, that's a must.

November 14th (Saturday) through November 22nd (Sunday), 2009. Starting next weekend. I know it's not a lot of lead time, but it's what I've got to work with.

If no interest, no big deal, I'll just end up staying home practice welding and dreaming of projects to spend money on... but I'd rather take off and find something fun.

Just decided to go for a little drive today in the snow. I have lived in Washington my whole life and was unaware that the Denny Creek rd. went all the way through to the summit.

So I just thought I would share just in case others didn't know. So if you are headed over I90 and want to get off the freeway for a leisure drive in the snow you may want to check it out.

The road is paved all the way through however they do not plow or sand it, so it makes for a much more fun route to the summit.

To view the route click here (http://bit.ly/YBjRG), today I was able to make it most of the way in 2wd w/ stock tires.

And a pic at the summit

^ This was where my stock tires let me down :( some shoveling required ;)

See her a few times a week (dark hair) around 2:15 PM in Auburn.
I think there is an advertisement sticker on the side for a business.

There is also a black one for a Mexican food business that runs around here too quite often.

Hey all,
We're going to take the kids to do something we've never done before, Razor Clam Digging!

Any recommendations for first timers as to what RV park would be the best one to stay in, and then razor clam dig?

It needs to be one of these beaches in gray:

We will bring the FJ for toolyboppin' around as well.
