Once again the annual Toys for Tots run at the Badlands in Attica Indiana is being held on December 5th. Bring a new unwrapped toy and only pay $10 measly dollars to enjoy the new and improved trails there.

Watch Scuba Steve plunge the depths! Laugh while Grim dances a jig on the hood of his new rig! Gaze in awe as Hondo wheels a wagon! Cringe as Phil barrels his rig into a tree.....again......and again....and again! It's a non-stop tour of adrenaline fueled mayhem! Well that and the opportunity to see some good folks you haven't seen or met yet!

There are a few of us spending the weekend. If you plan on coming for a couple days, your best bet is to book a room now. They fill up fast!

You can get all the info you need here. -----> Badlands Off Road Park - Indiana, 4x4, ATV, motorcycle riding, sand dunes, mud pits, rock crawling (http://www.badlandsoffroad.com/) There are links to hotels and directions to the park.

Hopefully Hondo and Grim will have their newly acquired FJ60's out there for their baptizmal run. It'll also be the shakedown and break in run for my FJ40. I just might be nice enough to take you for a ride. Look for a silver FJC towing a greazy white FJ40 and you'll find me and the rest of the IH8mud misfits.

See ya there!

I went and met my jeep buddies.
We goofed around on a yellow trail, around the scramble area and played in the mud. I don't think we even saw 1/2 of the park.
We had a blast. I was doing all right in my stocker until i slipped off the top of the mud and fell into the ruts. It was all over then. My buddy tried with his jeep for about 1/2 hour but the heavier FJ proved too much and we had only moved about 6 feet. A guy with a 94 YJ (with a v8) pulled me out in about 5 minutes.

Water Obstacle Challenge at Bundy Hill (report)

I still find it funny that people look at the FJ like WTF is that thing doing here? I have body panel dings and scraped up Budbuilts (including the beefy rock rails). Whenever I don't clear something and just have to lock my rear diff I hear snickers which go away 3 seconds later after it's engaged.

It's definitely a different place up here in Michigan, but I'm growing use to it. I recovered a Toyota pickup, the 750 or whatever hp alcohol injected beast seen in the picture and an ATV. Provided jumper cables and other tools to some also.

I'll just post my greatlakes4x4 post though. The talk in the beginning is in reference to some remedies for appendicitus.

Eh... my wife made me drink V8 juice and all other sorts of crap... I made it out there despite the slight fever and constant pain.

This beast made it the closest as far as I know. If his U Joint hadn't given out he might have made it the whole way...

Good thing I had my tools and recovery gear on me.

I'll try to add more as I play around with the pics. When it's cold, pictures look nasty. Have to warm em up a little.

My wife reported an off roader pulled over on US-12 a little after six..... I just had my own run in with the cops cause my neighbors like to mess around close to the fence and get one of our two dogs pissy. He must have darted under the fence.... After the neighbor came overand told me, I put the dumb thing on a chain and tightened his collar. Right before I brought him inside I noticed the collar was gone. Must have got out again cause a state cop was at my door.

Brandon, it was a good day to wear my unit shirt. The officer shined it on my shirt, said, "Infantry huh?", and it was all smooth riding after that. He suggested an electric collar and claymore after I told him the chain and fence don't work... haha...
---End Quote---

I had to pull that thing out of the water...

Hello to all the mid west region people. My name is Dave and I finally got an FJ. I bought a 2007 TRD 6MT from bagmanindy yesterday. I already love it. If anyone is up in the Traverse City MI area say hey and let me know when you go out to do anything.

Here is my first pic in action. Don't have a name for her yet.
