I replaced front door speakers with some 6X9 Kickers. Awesome, what a difference! Even without an amp and Toyota head unit. My question is that if that simple speaker replacement did so much in front, what if I simply replaced the OEM 8" subwoofer speaker with a better aftermarket sub, will I get noticeablely better and louder bass? I don't need or want a thumper, just a little improvement. Which headunit--I don't give a darn about big lighted video screens, though I will use an Ipod (I am currently and it works fine operating from dash mount).

It works great, but it broke the locking indicator light functionality. So when the truck gets locked, the lights no longer flash. The odd thing is, if you leave the turn signal stalk pushed to either side, that side of lights *will* flash (very briefly) when the truck is locked.

This is the second relay I've tried, so I suspect it's a design flaw rather than a defect.

Has anyone used this relay, seen this behavior before, or have a fix for it? Basically you just need to run the grounds for both ballasts to the negative battery terminal. This requires lengthening the passenger side ground cable and only takes a few minutes depending on how you've run your wires. I did this last night and my radio reception seems to have returned. I found a pair of L.E.D.'s on Ebay for 17.95 and free shipping. They take 10 minutes to install both, and they put out a pure white BRIGHT light.
The item number was 22050300977. They even dim when they come on and when they go out.
