Bundy Hill Off Road Night Run (stuck in the mud)

This is my recap of the Friday the 13th night run I requested at Bundy Hill. We didn't expect many people to turn out, but there were about 100 rigs. 80 were non VIP (didn't work in the park or weren't related to the staff...aka true paying customers). You could see lights everywhere... up in the woods, ledges, down in valleys, etc.

The rides were mostly guided with 3 different levels. I went in the middle group just because it rode out second, and I couldn't wait for the last group to get together. We wound up going on everything the last group did anyways. There were a couple little hangups on the trail due to vehicles with open diffs. We really kept going most of the time though.

My wife was putting on a haunted forest with some of her dance studio kids and only got to ride for about 20-30 minutes so after everyone was back at the bonfire (~ 10PM) we went out alone. That's when we really got stuck.

1st time to this event and not my last! Sand dunes are fun in the FJ and a hole different way of driving. You can go faster and a good suspension system is best in the sand. You also have to know what situation your getting into when dropping into a bowl;

AWSUMFJ wasn't too sure untill he was committed in this bowl

and it's good to have friends around to help

it took his and funjunkey winch and an FJ to get him out...all is well

Hi All,

Thought I would also share what things look like this time of year in the beautiful Utah State...Feel lucky this is in my back yard. This was a quick Sunday/Monday run...

These are mostly poser shots because I was driving. But my buddy Matt, got some serious hard core stuff, felt like I was back on the con a few times, because I was using the sliders a ton...As soon as I get a copy, I will post up some action shots..

Over Ophir and Last Dollar Road today (w/pics)

And when I say over I mean way over! Flew over them today.

Had to take the helicopter up to Grand Junction this morning for some avionics work. Left out of Farmington pre-dawn. The sun was coming up as we got to the La Plata mountains. First up a shot of the town of Ophir and the turnoff from the highway.

Then along the way we saw several herds of Elk. One with over a hundred elk, and an 8-10 point buck.

The next shot is of Last Dollar Road on the return. Loads of snow and elk.

We tried to get over Black Bear or Imogene, but clouds the top thousand feet of the mountains. Here's a shot of the back side of Black Bear. We went a bit south of Ophir Pass before we headed east towards Durango. Followed a valley south.

Got back to Farmington and check out what the parking lot at work looked like.

Just a great day seeing the area we were playing in during the Summit! Can't wait for the next one.

I remembered to bring my camra with me this time while fishing and wheelin at hillsville PA quarry. I just finished installing my ICON uca's and 6inch coil over. What a big difference with steering and alignment, perfect combination with my RC6 lift. Enjoy the pics :bigthumb:

Norcal High Lakes Easy Run

Went out with a couple of friends to check out what Norcal has to offer. We had a jeep runoff down a hill for no reason and slammed into a rock, better than going further to the trees. I got a few scratches here and there...

No major damage, just hood popped up and broken lights.
