Are These Legal?

I have a specific question, but I figured a thread with this title might come in handy. I've seen questions here and there from people wondering if certain after market products are legal or not. I'll start with this...

Are these LED tail lights, front signals, and halo headlights illegal or just uncool? i never see any FJs with them.

It IS a truck.

I was recently laid off from my Respiratory Therapy position.
Image: http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Angels_and_Demons/devil-0005.gif He was fired!
Image: http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Angels_and_Demons/angel-0062.gif No he wasn't, they're closing that department.
Image: http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Angels_and_Demons/devil-0029.gif He doesn't work there anymore does he? That's fired in my book.
Image: http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Angels_and_Demons/angel-0092.gif Go away, you're just a trouble maker.

You guys quit. Anyway, I'm starting my own business doing handyman jobs and joining my dad in craft making and touring the craft circles doing what we want to do. So far the handyman thing has kept me almost too busy to work on the craft projects I like to do. Jan and I went to my friends Chevy dealership to look at pickups. I found a low mileage "loaded" Avalanche that I fell in love with immediately. It was that copper color and the salesman started it with the key fob as we walked out to it. By the time we got to it the AC had started doing it's job. He hit another button and unlocked the doors and said, "Take it for a spin, you won't believe how it rides." He was right, I couldn't believe how much better my FJ drove, rode and handled. It would have taken me the better part of the day just exploring all the extras it had. We came home and I planned on going to Lowe's for some 2X4's I needed for a project. I have stuck a few through the back window a time or two but not many. Then I had an idea. Image: http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss83/flatch/litebulb.gif I took out the front passenger seat. Snap the two plastic covers off the rear bolts, remove those two as well as the front two that are readily visible. Lean the seat back and unplug the cable. Take the seat out. Then I took the back right side seat out. You don't have to take the seat belts out, but I did, for that side. The plastic back on the seat back snaps off, just pull it, it'll come. Then there's two bolts that are very apparent. Take them out and the seat back falls out. Takes about two minutes, literally. The bottom comes out after you take the two bolts out that you see below the front of the seat bottom. I had them all out in about ten minutes. Now I have a "truck" to haul lumber or whatever.

Image: http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Angels_and_Demons/devil-0047.gif Keep your ol' piece of shlt chevy.
Image: http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Angels_and_Demons/angel-0089.gif Now now, we agreed it was nice.
Image: http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Angels_and_Demons/devil5.gif Yeah, for a piece of shlt chevy.

Hey you guys, cut it out. This is a respectable place here.
Anyway, here: eight foot 2X4's with plenty of room to spare......

Image: http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss83/flatch/FJtruck2004.jpg
Image: http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss83/flatch/FJtruck2002.jpg

And a 24' ext. ladder.

Image: http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss83/flatch/FJtruck2009.jpg

So, as you see, I already have a most capable truck for my needs. I don't need that chevy.

My inspiration behind this came from daToy. His site is amazing (My FJ Cruiser | My Toyota FJ Cruiser | My Toyota FJ Cruiser, Modifications, Expeditions, Mods, Equipment, gear, Photos and more (http://www.myfjcruiser.org/)), and I hope that mine grows in content to be at least half as good as his. If you haven't seen it, go there and browse a few of this articles.

Please request an account only if you are serious in using it. I don't want to get into any problems with our host either so keep everything legal.

It's all Wordpress based making for easy edits and additions. If you need to store large pictures, this will be a great place to do so.

My site is done using the same system (SteelHorse – the travels of an FJ Cruiser- (http://fj.bundyhilloffroad.com)). Themes will be customizable so you don't have to look like that either.

I'll throw in one two GB e-mail account which you can be checked via the web and has pop3/smtp capabilities.

If intersted e-mail me at webmaster@bundyhilloffroad.com.

Thanks.

As most of you know...I just purchased my FJ a few months back. Unfortunately, business has really slowed down and I may have to do the unthinkable!:mecry:
I really don't want to do this, but if I do, I was wondering what you guys think I could sell it for? It has every option available except for the towing package. It is fully loaded otherwise. I also installed 285/70/17 BFG AT/KOs, Rough Country Lift Kit, and Light Racing UCAs. It drives straight and true....no dings, dents, or scratches. Never driven offroad.
Would like to hear your thoughts......

Would there be a 2011 FJ Cuiser? or they would discontinue it...

Im asking this question now since there will be a lot of threads about this subject in 8 months from now....so why not starting from now

Thinking of trading in my 08 for a 10.
I still have $17k left on the loan.
So if I trade it in, does the dealer pay off the bank and then the rest goes as a down for the 2010?
I also heard that the dealer will only give the fair amount and not good or excellent no matter how immaculate the fj is. Anyone school me on this too?

thanks in advance!
