Re: FabFours rear bumper wish list

Does the rear hand down lower the the OEM bumper? Are you loosing departure angle with it?

I think you may be right. It appears to be a few inches lower.

Re: FabFours rear bumper wish list

Has anyone designed a rear bumper that sticks out past the spare tire, so when you get rear ended by the teenager talking to her freinds on her cell phone, it won't mush in the back door? (as seen in recent post)

Re: FabFours rear bumper wish list

The suggestion for a user-interchangeable equipment carrier - "the user can bolt on two tire carriers or one tire carrier and one fuel can carrier, etc..." is a VERY good suggestion and one I think the market would embrace. NOBODY yet has come up with a practical way to mount a fuel tank (or an extra tire) to the back of an FJ such that it does not completely block access to the rear door.

If you did this and nothing else, the market would embrace it.

Just my 2 cents worth.

The first pic shown here presents what a good looking design the rear bumper has evolved into. The second picture shows the smaller logo cutout, which I think I'd weld a small plate on the backside of, to keep out mud and debris.(Provided they don't use the larger version of the logo). The next two pictures show the gigantic openings from the logo, on an otherwise fantastic front bumper. The logo, lacking any design change, I can only theorize would have to be excised and have a new plate welded and ground in place. I sure hope they offer this thing naked, because I'd hate to have to pay for paint that was scheduled to be burnt up.

Again, Fab Fours...Couldn't you be satisfied with simply painting your logo on these bumpers? Anyone that sees these, is going to talk to the owner about where he got them anyway.

Now in the market for a rear bumper- I must say that the bumper pictured is ugly. Not practical, and once again ugly... The deperature angle I'm quite sure is MUCH worse than the stock bumper... :/ Not worth spending the cash unfortunately.
