steering wheel audio controls

Hey guys, I'm near you and hoping you could answer a few questions for me. I just bought an '08 FJ and am looking for a new solution for the stereo system. I'm really leaning towards the AVIC-D3 because I would love a great nav system and iPod integration is an absolute must.

Where it gets tricky though, is that my FJ didn't come with the steering wheel-mounted controls and I would really like them.

So, my question is two-fold:
1) Can you install steering wheel controls for my fj (OEM ones)?
2) If so, can you make them work with the AVIC so that they can control the basic functionality?

I don't know about installing OEM steering wheel controls, there is definitely a piece that allows for integration if the steering wheel controls exists, do you have a link for the kit? I know I have seen it discussed on the boards, but I just don't have info on it.

You can get a wireless remote for the D3 btw, that would be a simple solution.
