Re: TRD SUPERCHARGERS...come and get em!!!!!

Shannon,
You can ship mine now and when you receive the install kits you can overnight that so I can save on shipping, install as soon as I get it, and also post some pics for everyone to drool over.......not to mention with my luck when you receive the install kits for the FJ you will be out of stock on the Super Chargers............

Re: TRD SUPERCHARGERS...come and get em!!!!!

Very interested in getting a supercharger. One question: what does this do to gas consumption? Is there a big drop in MPG with the extra horsepower?

Of coarse if you keep it in boost a lot you will see a drop in your mpg. With normal everyday driving though you should not see too much of a change.

Thanks

Re: TRD SUPERCHARGERS...come and get em!!!!!

Very cool, but won't a SC require a reflash of the ECU. Does the kit include a new ecu or some method to flash the ecu? Or would I need to go to a local dealership to have the ecu reprogrammed?

It will require your current ecu to be reflashed. The reflash is available at all dealerships as of today.

Thanks

Re: TRD SUPERCHARGERS...come and get em!!!!!

And will the dealership charge you for this reflash? What if you install the supercharger or have a different shop other then the dealership do it??

Yes, dealerships will charge you for the reflash if you do it yourself or have another shop do the install.

I have a feeling your next question will be how much the reflash will cost...and I don't have an answer for that question as I'm just a parts dude!

Thanks

Re: TRD SUPERCHARGERS...come and get em!!!!!

I got a quote from my dealership here in CO on an install and it was between $600-650. They based it off a Tacoma install. Anyone know if the install is close to the same for both?
Hopefully after the first of the year I will be ordering a kit from you!!

Re: TRD SUPERCHARGERS...come and get em!!!!!

I just visited my local Toyota parts guy and he printed out the instructions PDF sheet to install the TRD SC. It sure looks cool and it also looks like the innercooler is WATER COOLED?? It even has it own pump for circulation. I can't wait to order it!!
