I have sent LandCruiserSteve a PM asking about this idea.
Below is my perception of what we have decided, correct me if I'm mistaken:
1. We'll request a Florida sub-forum under the SE Region.
2. We'll ask that this be named simply "Florida"
3. We'll work on a FL specific club to be hosted on Paul's forum, TampaBay4X4
4. FJCSS - FJ Cruisers of the Sunshine State (my recommendation, still open to discussion)
5. We'll use the club as an excuse to wheel and drink on a regular basis
Couple of things about the Name.
Words are easier to say and remember. My old Screen Name on here was PWWFJ and it was always a mouthful to tell someone and hard for people to remember.
I could easily host a forum like TampaBay4x4 on my site and might be able to convert it over to a Florida FJC Forum. It you would like. Not many jeepers use it. Just my good jeep buddy. They have way to many jeep forums already. lol
It might be a good idea to work out a name on my private forum,
There is already a Florida club... FLCA. Why do we need more than one club?
One thing I have found, FJC;s seem to like to stick together and Jeeps do the same and Land Cruisers too. They just seem to be able to talk about their trucks more with like owners.

I am a member of FLCA, great guys and they put on some awesome trail runs! Their FJ-40 rigs are a quantum leap apart from the FJC's though, and the discussions about parts, mods, and driving tips are completely different too. I started out just thinking about the sub-forum, which it seems everyone agrees to. The "new club concept" is a seperate issue though. We'll move those discussions to Paul's forum I think.

Read through and didn't see a club name that was agreed on yet. Maybe I missed it? My suggestion would be Suncoast Cruisers. Any name would be cool, seems we have a great group of people here to hang out with anyway.

I wouldn't say that... We brought a stock FJ on the top of guard rail at Tellico. FJs can do A LOT more than you think. My goal with the FLCA forum is to take it from just Land Cruisers to all new Toyota 4x4s(right now, the FJ) and make discussions about parts, mods, and driving tips come together.

I don't think skorp62 meant the FJC was not capable, just different that the Land Cruisers. And I agree with him.

I'd love an older FJ-40 to use as an offroad toy, but I have to keep my FJC ready as a daily driver. I meant they were different, both are better at certain things than the other. The IFS and longer wheelbase make the FJC suited for different trails, but I agree that it doesn't mean they *can't* go anywhere at all. It is all a matter of "right tool for the job" IMO
By the way everyone, I've requested a "Florida" sub-forum under the SE Region from Dragon. He stated that it would be "no problem" so look for it soon. Not sure if you'll want your existing threads moved there or if Mods will accomodate but it might be worth trying. Rock On!

Cool! Thanks!
Maybe he might make you a moderator on that board also! I make that motion! Do I hear a second!
