thumbnail problems

I'm trying to insert thumbnails into my posts. After starting a new thread I click on the paperclip then browse my photos, pick the one I want and push upload. The bar on the bottom seems to show that it uploads in the manage attachments box but then when I click the insert image envelope icon I get a box that says Explorer user prompt and the message says please enter URL of your image. I don't have a URL.
Any help would be appreciated. As I understand it I should be able to upload images directly from my computer.

Once you have uploaded the picture, just close the window for managing the attachments. Don't click the insert image icon. That is for inserting the entire image into the post, not for thumbnails. Just submit the thread and your thumbnails will be there.

Thanks Mike- I didn't realize that you had to submit the message for the thumbnail to show up.

Actually, you'll be able to see your thumbnail attachment in the "Preview" mode prior to submitting it as well.
