Re: How do i post pics on the forum

First you need to go photobucket.com and get signed up so you can upload pictures to
their website (it’s free)
1) login to the forum and type your message
2) Leave this open and then also open another browser of the photobucket site and log in
3) When you log in you will see three buttons that say browse and a larger one that says
Upload. Click on the browse button and find the picture you want to upload and click on
it and then click on the upload button. When it is uploaded you will see the picture pop up
below.
4) Now you are ready to send the picture. Put a check mark in the box by the picture and
then click on the button that says (Generate HTML and IMG code)
5) The next page that comes up will have several different boxes to choose from click on
the one that says (IMG images for message boards) when you click on it a small yellow
box will come up on the left that says (copied) and then fade away.
6) Now leave this web site open and go back to the message you started on the forum. At
the flashing cursor in your message right click the mouse and click paste and your picture
should be there. Now send the message and you are done.

Good Luck and hope it works for you. It took me three days to figure this all out.

Re: How do i post pics on the forum

One thing that you want to keep in mind, is that you want to keep your pics to a reasonable size. Not so large that viewers have to continuously scroll across the screen just to see segmented portions of the overall picture.

Many over-enthusiastic posters try to show off their stuff by posting a pic that's so large, that it's nearly impossible for viewers to determine what they're actually looking at.

Plus, large pictures forces the viewer to have to scroll back and forth across the screen to read any accompanying posted text as well. Very annoying.

640x480 is the ideal maximum size for pic posting on the forum. big joe's (above) pictures are perfect examples of that.

Also, you might want to think about turning off the time and date stamp on your digital camera. It becomes more distracting than it is necessary.

I like "Flickr" for my online photo storage. They allow you to upload in the original size, but it resizes by just clicking the size you want.

Re: How do i post pics on the forum

Guys, I have been using the forum's photo gallery for all my photos and it works like a champ. Granted I don't post a gazillion pictures but for the casual photo poster, such as myself, it really works well.

I use the Fuji software that came with my camera to batch process the pics to the 640x480 pixel range and then upload them to the forum gallery. After that it is a simple right click on the enlarged photo within the forum gallery, copy the url code and then paste it into my post. It is pretty simple, even for this sometimes techno challenged gal!!!
