Should the site allow political / religious threads?

The title says it all. Whichever way the votes turn out will likely be what we strive for. Let the people speak.

Vote now.

Re: Should the site allow political / religious threads?

I strongly believe in freedom of speech, and i believe that all of us can speak or write our political or religious ideas, but i also believe that there is a place to do so and i don't think thats here
I log in to this site almost every day to read and see FJ stuff, not politics or religion.

so i say not here.

Thats my opinion

As long as people maintain their civility and decorum, who cares?

I sure know better than to get involved in one of those threads, but some people can't help themselves. Let em have at it. It's off topic.

Re: Should the site allow political / religious threads?

I agree with athenaceleste and christianmotox.

Besides, I've lost more potential friends by discussing both religion and politics. I'd rather not lose them here, in the funnest forum I belong to...

I agree, there is a time and a place for everything. This place is for FJ's and and people to discuss FJ's. I love a good political debate just as much as the next guy but I come to this site get away from all of the never ending political crap on TV.

I would agree if Off-Topic didn't appear on the Active Topic threads, muddying the waters for the info that I am looking for...about FJs.

To echo what was said before...there are other sites and other forums specifically for those topics so let's keep it about the FJ and on/offroading.

Re: Should the site allow political / religious threads?

Someone please explain why an off-topic political discussion is different from an off-topic anything else discussion.

You don't have to read it, that's why it's tagged off-topic.

Re: Should the site allow political / religious threads?

Nope. Not here.

There's already enough opinions running around this forum.
