Moderators, im not sure who is in control of advertising and I know that its important in maintaining the site but i dont think that pop ups are necesary. Every time I log on I get at least one small little pop up advertisment that gets in the way of everything. Is their any way you can make this vendor go away?????

Good question. This sometimes happens 2 -3 times when I am on and it slows my machine way down when it is happening. Comes up right in the middle of the message I am trying to read. Very frustrating.

Install and use Firefox with adblock plus add on and you will never see pop ups or adds again.

The problem with turning them off completely is that my wife needs to have the pop ups turned on when she works on the Charles Schwab website. They use pop ups often to bring in information you request.

She can use Internet Explorer with popups allowed, and you can use firefox with no popups.

Unfortunately we can't. We use a Mac and IE is not supported for Mac any longer. So, we use Safari most of the time and for the .001% of websites that don't work properly with Safari, we use FireFox.
