Asking Again - Slooow forum

I just went through now this site is slleeoooooooooww and found no administrator/moderator that can give any explanation as to when this problem will be fixed. Well over a month ago this subject was brought up and nothing.
What gives?
I like this forum too much to give it up and it's a great way to arrange trail runs and meet people.
Pleeeese help us.

This was the final word. You may have missed it.

I think the issue boils down to the people in here complaining are all pointing the finger as if it is this site that is causing the problem. I don't think its the site. I think its your individual machines causing the problem. It may sound harsh to say, but I'm tired of "defending" the site.

There are thousands upon thousands of people using this site without issue, but we have a very small handful of people who are having problems that believe it is the site.

I realize it may have been working faster before, but that does not mean the problem IS NOT ON YOUR END. It could be the change simply brought out a bug on your system that is causing the issue. Plain and simple.

I've already offered a few pieces of advice to people in this thread to try and some have done so and worked it out, and others refuse to change their side because they "shouldn't have to" -- while I understand that, also keep in mind that we run this site NOT JUST FOR YOU, but for HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE so making a change on this end is not trivial either, especially when it is working for the majority of the people.

I think its time to open your mind just a bit and give a few of my suggestions a try. Also keep in mind, its not just ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE that I mentioned, but any ANTI-POPUP, ANTI-ADVERTISING software that can cause your slow downs as well.

I guess people don't understand their systems. My carrier has it's own security system. If I turn it "OFF" --the forum runs very fast--but I'm totally unprotected. If I turn it "ON"---the forum runs slower but its on my end --not the forum. This is probably 99% of the problem. Hope this helps somone.
